Watch Any Movie File on your Kindle Fire (All Gens)

The MoboPlayer player application supports almost all file types. Unfortunately it is not available on the Amazon Marketplace. Luckily, there’s a way to install it to your Kindle Fire through a process called “side-loading”.

1. First make sure your Allow Installation of Applications setting is on. On your Kindle Fire, go to the Settings menu and click Device. Scroll down to the “Allow Installation of Applications” option and make sure it is on. This will allow installation of third-party applications.

2. Now on your Kindle Fire, download the MoboPlayer installation file here: MoboPlayer.apk file

3. After the download is finished, go to the menu icon on the browser and click on “Downloads” and install the file you just downloaded.

Using MoboPlayer on the Kindle Fire

Plug your Kindle Fire into the computer and transfer your movie files into any folder on your Kindle Fire. Launch MoboPlayer on your Kindle Fire and navigate to the movie file to play the movie.

“MoboPlayer supports all video formats (need to choose “software decoding” mode in most cases).”
